Welcome To Rogue's Gallery
The Waterboot site has finally been updated!
Can you believe it? After 15 years we finally take credit cards? This should give a degree of relief to those Waterboot customers who in the past have had emergency mast/deck leaks and needed a Waterboot NOW...
The Rogue's Gallery is something I've wanted to do for some time on the Waterboot site. It's designed to serve as an open forum for comments, suggestions and pictures from sailors and boatowners to help each other solve mast/deck leaking problems. This page will be periodically updated and we welcome any input from sailors who have questions, solutions, nice things to say about WATERBOOT, NOT nice things to say about Waterboot, hints, or basically anything constructive that will help some poor soul somewhere to keep the water from pouring into his boat.
What we primarily would like to do with Rogue's Gallery is for sailors to send pictures of the most gruesome, ugly, outdated "mast boots" that you encounter (whether it be on your boat or not). We promise to keep names, boats, etc, confidential if you ask.
Waterboot originated for the simple reason that I just couldn't stand to see any more beautiful sailing yachts equipped with something that looked like a blown tire on the highway providing the crucial seal that protects the beauty and sanctuary of the cabin from the oftentime hostle enviornment out on deck. So lets see some of these examples that we all stumble upon in the boatyards, marinas and yacht clubs we all frequent.
All ideas and input are welcome and we'll put the pictures of the worst of the worst "mast boots' into the Rogue's Gallery to show those of you who switched to Waterboot just how bad it can really be. All material should be sent to h2oboot@aol.com.
